History

The history settings tab allows you to adjust all options for data compilation. This tab is visible only if Weather Station runs in extended mode.

Weather Station has the ability to compile the data it collects for later use, graphically for example. This compilation of data uses a number of resources on your server (especially processor and storage), so you need to precisely define what Weather Station compiles and how long it stores it.

Data category

Allows you to specify which data to compile and store. Daily data is stored for a full day with one dataset every 10 minutes. Historical data is compiled once a day.

Compilation mode

The compilation mode also greatly influences the calculations and storage required. For a breakdown of these data and operations, see the data historization page.

Retention period

This is the time beyond which historical data is deleted (daily data always has a 24-hour retention period).
