In historic data the solar irradiance is expressed with the standard measure sets min, max, avg, dev and med. Wouldn't that measure require a agg instead? How much w/m^2 did I collect, or am I wrong?

I am not a meteorologist, so I might be wrong...

Hello Ralf!

Your remark is right, but you missed just an info: this value is "instant" irradiance. It gives the value at a specific time, not for a specific period. So it makes no sense to aggregate these values (and applications which do that are wrong). So, from my point of view, it should not be aggregated.

Where you are right is that it is actually missing in the current "mainstream" stations a way to know exactly the value of the irradiance for a day (or for a period). To my knowledge there is only in solar panel probes that ones can find such a possibility.

If you like Weather Station, please consider to make a review to help make it known. That would be the best way to thank me...

Got it. Yes, makes sense.

One issue with irradiance I came across is that I cannot choose the dimension for this KPI in multi-graphs (Bar/Line or Multiline).

There must be at least two measurement types of the same dimension to be displayed in multi-lines, otherwise you can use single-line...

I want to show average (solar radiation) as array line vs. max (solar radiation) as line; if it does make sense.

Ahahaha. You're absolutely and definitely right. I did not think about this use case... So yes, I will activate this ability in 3.4.2.

Just a little digression: I'm now working on stacked bar graph and stacked/streamed areas for future 3.5. At first, I did it because I saw one use case where it would be interesting. And the more I manipulate my new graphs, the more I tell myself that the world of meteorology misses something: there's so many ways to visualise weather data. It's simply incredible. I found at least two additional ways to visualize the atmospheric pressure and vapor pressure differences. That's totally amazing. I think the version 3.5 will be placed under the sign of Data Visualization!

An option would be a selectable "dimensionless" that allows a user to combine whatever he wants, even if it wouldn't make sense, but leaving this to the user. Probably an "expert" selection.

Looking forward to your mentioned 3.5 capabilities sounds VERY interesting. Again, for my wishlist is a time-based stacking (as I mentioned in another post).

Maybe not for 3.5 but definitely yes!
