Would be great to get all the visuals available for both widgets and shortcodes.

For visual consistency it makes more sense.

Hello Vincent!

For now, you can use all shortcodes in sidebars with the standard widgets named "Text" and "Custom HTML". But you're right, the opposite is not true: you can't use Weather Station widgets in full post if your theme doesn't allow you to do it. So... nice suggestion, we'll see if it gets some votes!
