Wind direction Pointers
I have been running the weatherlink software for about 3 weeks now and thought all was going well until I compared the wind directions on the different feeds to the weather page or the footers. This is our weather page: http://glassonsailing.co.uk/wp/home/weather/
The shortcode links at the top are showing the wind from SW but the little icon in the footer says "wind from ENE" as does the Weatherlink bulletin. In the WeatherStaion 3 , Version 3.8.11 , I have the setting "pointing from the degrees" under "Display" setting, but changing it to the opposite doesn't seem to make any difference?
Very impressed how adaptable your software is to suit the Adaptive Wordpress style for a web site, and hope to stick with it, thanks. We have just changed from VWS "broadcast" display, which gave us sterling service for many years,
I don’t know if you sorted this out but I had the same problem. Wind direction displays or points to where the wind is going. Wind source displays where it is coming from as we are more accustomed to in the marine environment. It caused me a bit of confusion when I set up my club’s weather station.
Thanks for your reply - light at the end of the tunnel at last! I was on the point of giving up to this software even though it first seemed so impressive for Wordpress users. I was going to go back to VWS and Wunderground.
Unfortunately our Davis VP cabled is temporaily down due to a corroded circuit board in the ISS, but I should have it back soon after our sailing trip for the next 2 weeks.
I shall have a look at my WP dashboard now and try to figure out the difference between Wind direction and source on there.
I found this Weather Station forum with help on the WXforum here: https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=41272.0
I am assuming this is your web site? https://weather.lhyc.org.uk/
