Hi Pierre & Co,

Thank You for Your work!

I have successfully added a Weatherlink Live station (Davis VantageVue) but for some reason, that I can´t figure out, the widget only reports one outdoor module (rain).

Using Wordpress version 5.5.3 (PHP 7.3.20)

Events log shows 2 events as below:

Weather Collector 3.8.9
Error code : 0
Full message : Data retrieved

Data Manager 3.8.9
Error code : 500
Full message : Inconsistent data to insert in data table:

Any ideas how to get the other modules to show up?

/br T.

Hello! and Happy 2021

Davis Instruments modified their API during WeatherLink Live station development. The new V2 API uses a very complex authentication system in order to get information from a specific weather station on a certain user account. SO if you put the API keys into Weather Station plugin, you cannot get the weather data.

https://weatherlink.github.io/v2-api/

Unfortunately, this WordPress plugin is not compatible* (?) with WeatherLink Live stations. If you have programming skills, you could develop a V2 API retriever using PHP or Python, and parse to a known format like Realtime.txt.

Best regards from Chile

Hmmm... I just finished installing my Davis weather station outside today & found out about this. Only showing Rain & Barometric Pressure & (0) value on embed. Might have to go WeeWX then.

Someone just made me aware of this thread.   I have a WeatherlinkLive box with my Davis Vantage Pro station integrated with this plugin running here. I created a Python program to build a realtime.txt file a little over a year ago.  It has been working great for me.

The issue that would prevent most folks from using it is that it uses the local API on the WeatherlinkLive box.  What this means is if your WordPress site is hosted remotely, then the Python program would not be able to access it.   This is not a problem in my case because my WordPress server is on the same LAN as the WeatherLinkLive box.

The only way to use it with a remotely hosted site would be to have some computer running the Python script every few minutes.  Another script would then need to FTP the realtime.txt file up to the WordPress site where Pierre's plugin could read it using the realtime.txt connector.  I am sure someone has some Python code to automate FTP uploads somewhere.   Integrate that into the existing script and there is a solution -- as long as you have some computer or RasPi that is on 24x7 close to the WeatherLinkLive box.

Hi, i might be up for contributing funds to development of a V2 connector if someone wants to price it up? I could commit ~$150 to start this off.
