Plugin seeking adoption

Update June 27th 2023

Weather Station is now under a new leadership, Pierre Lannoy has handed over the project to Jason Rouet in June. See the full story here.

Plugin seeking adoption

It’s been several years since the Weather Station plugin received a major update.
Despite all my efforts to find the time to maintain it and develop all the features I wanted to add, I have to face the fact that it’s just not possible for me.

Recently, I founded an ethical and sustainable web hosting company: Hosterra.
And this activity takes up 100% of my professional and free time…

I’d like to hand over the reins to anyone who wants to keep this plugin alive.

If you’re interested and really want to give this plugin the attention it deserves, you can contact me at the following address:

Thank you for having made this community a place for sharing and learning.

  1. John Pile

Weather Station is a really brilliant plugin, if I was able, I would willingly look after and nurture it!

I sincerely hope you find a successor.

    • Pierre Lannoy

Thank you John… Around ten people have already volunteered (following this article). I’m waiting to be sure that everyone has seen it before talking to them to see if we’re lucky.

    • George Carnie

I agree wholeheartedly with John. This plugin has been an invaluable tool for the members of our model aircraft club, here in Tasmania Australia. They can go to our website and can see instantly if the weather is suitable for the drive to our airfield. Thank you Pierre for all the years of developing and maintaining Weather Station. Like John, I hope you find a successor.
